Mindfulness is more than a trend, it's an evidenced based supported tool for reducing anxiety and depresson symptoms while enhancing your mental clarity and focus.
I often use the term "emotional regulation" and "symptom management" with my clients and for good reason, this is the ultimate goal for all forms of mental health treatment. Mindfullness helps you observe your emotions without being overwhelmed by them, lending to healthier responses and improved realtionships.
Mindfullness techniques are varied and can take many forms, some of them contain focused relaxation, or they can also be task driven. I encourage all my clients to use some form of mindfullness every day to maintain a focused practice, along with breath work and grounding techniques. This can be as simple as folding napkins, to sitting and meditating for 5 minutes using an app. It can also be a more detailed and lengthy activity or task, as well as a personal spiritual practice. You get to choose!
The benefits are amazing and I encourage you to explore how this practice can enhance your daily life and get you started on the road to health and wellness!
